Halloween Costumes 2013
Posted on September 14th, 2013 by Jean
When the Halloween catalogs arrive, my daughters pour through them in search of the perfect costume. My eldest decided on the flamingo outfit without hesitation, even offering to buy the headpiece with her own money. My youngest had been vacillating between a cupcake fairy and a lollipop fairy, when she spied All American Miss. Her decision was made, and she paid for her accessories (hat and choker) too.
Seems like just yesterday they were Disney Princesses.
• When do you start searching for the perfect costume?
• Store-bought or homemade?
• Scary or sweet?

I was going to be like “Jean, welcome back to the blogging world!” but then I realized that you do have posts of 2013, though they never appeared in my blogs feed… Still happy to see you!
Cool costumes!

Thanks, Nadezhda! Only recently started blogging again. I’ll have to check why my posts are feeding. I hope you have been well! I love your photos of Ireland!

OMWord! It’s still September! We usually don’t start thinking Halloween until the week before. I am not organized!

LOL, Single Mom. I don’t feel organized, I feel pressured by my kiddos. 🙂
Swinging by to visit you on this fine Sunday.

Oh my goodness! They look adorable! Big girls now. Wow! I wish I could be involved in the costumes of my step girls, their mom makes them. I love the store bought. Several years when Sydney was little, her costume was a dead cheerleader and zombie fairy. They were awesome! We did gray skin and falling off pieces. Scared lots of little kids. Haha.

Thanks, Angelia! Getting big so quickly. I don’t realize it until I see pics from the past.
That is really sweet that the girls’ mom makes their costumes!
Whoa, Sydney’s “zombie cheerleader fairy” sounds freaky! In a good way! I don’t know when my girls will steer towards the creepy looks. They won’t even look at the pics in the catalogs.
Have a great Sunday!
